L’opera è un invito al dialogo possibile. L’artista si pone come mediatore tra le persone, creando un “dispositivo” aperto, una superficie trasparente su cui esprimere un pensiero all’altro, dal semplice saluto all’affermazione di un sentire profondo. La difficoltà di abbattere i nostri muri di pregiudizio verso il prossimo viene rappresentata in questa azione che tenta di renderli fisicamente visibili con l’utopico obiettivo di abbatterli. Il dispositivo artistico ha richiesto l’interazione con il pubblico, invitato dall’artista a dialogare attraverso la superficie trasparente con il mezzo della scrittura. Messaggi di dialogo che, sovrapponendosi per differenza di lingua e calligrafia inificiano l’intento trasformando la superficie in un muro nero che impedisce la vista.

Glass Wall

The work is an invitation to a possible dialogue. The artist acts as a mediator between people, creating an open “device”, a transparent surface on which you could express a thought to someone else, from simple greetings to the assertion of a deep feeling.

This action represented the difficulty of tearing down our walls of prejudice against others, the attempt of making those bias physically visible with the Utopian goal of destroying them.

The artistic device required an interaction with the public, invited by the artist to a dialogue through the transparent surface using the writing. All those messages, different in language and handwriting, overlapped and nullified the original intent, as they transformed the surface into a black wall that blocked the view.
